Why was Med-Dia started?
A: This company started the way all problems are eventually solved: with a question. How can we help people in a safe manner without personal contact? The solution was found on the internet, something we usually take for granted. We wanted to help people not only in the safest possible way, but through quality and careful services. More specific information about our history can be found on the about page.
Are you all properly certified for this and is this within the law?
A: Yes, this is 100% within the law. Most states have their own regulations, but all permit telehealth operations in some capacity. On the national level, bills have been proposed to expand telemedicine, although it’s a fairly new industry and laws surrounding it are constantly evolving. All of our staff are thoroughly vetted and trained in order to best help patients, from tech consultants to doctors. Every medical professional is properly certified and subject to background checks in order to make sure you get proper care.
Where can I get COVID-19 testing information?
A: We are not authorized to conduct COVID-19 tests since we are an online service, although there is a screener for symptoms available on our website under the “Appointments” tab. For more information on COVID-19, tests, and safety precautions, you can visit the CDC website.
How do I request a refund for my visit?
A: If you feel unsatisfied with your visit, contact customer service with your complaint and documentation from your visit ready and we’ll reimburse you as soon as possible.
How do I download my visit summary from my computer?
A: All documentation after your visit will be emailed to you, including the visit summary, bills, prescriptions, and any other receipts or relevant information that you request.
How can I tell if a telemedicine site is real or a scam?
A: It’s always important to do your research before committing to any new healthcare service. There are many resources available online about reliable telemedicine companies. As for Med-Dia, you can call our customer service line or reference online reviews if you’re worried about being scammed.
I’m having problems breathing, what do I do?
A: First, calm down and count 5 seconds for each breath you take in and out. If you assume it’s an immediate medical problem, call 911. If you think it’s not too big of a problem that you can wait a little bit, book an appointment. Any member of the medical society would be happy to walk you through steps to make you feel okay and diagnose your problem.
